Exercise Intervention to Reverse Diastolic Impairment in Diabetes

  • Hartung Solalba

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a strong risk factor for coronary heart disease and heart failure. Patients with poor glycemic control and hypertension have a worse prognosis, which may at least partially attribute to myocardial disease.    The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of a randomized, controlled longterm exercise-training program on major risk factors of type 2 diabetes.
